The honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War Two. The roll was originally located in West Milby Hall and was unveiled at a Grand Ball held on the 29th October 1948.
The ceremony of unveiling an Honor Roll, for those who served in World War II., was performed by Major L. W. Matthews, M.C., in the presence of a large number of people in West Milby Hall, writes our correspondent. Visitors were present from Condobolin, Tullibigeal, Ungarie, Butcher, Weja, Kikolra, and Forbes, whilst apologies were received from ex-Diggers from Sydney, Melbourne, Goulburn and Queensland. Dancing was indulged in till 10 p.m., to excellent music supplied by the Tullibigeal Orchestra. when Mr. N. Scott (President of the Milby Welcome Home Committee invited Major Matthews—who had served with distinction in both world wars —to unveil the Honor Roll, on which was inscribed the names of 39 men and women of the district who had served in World War II.
