Tragically lost on 2 September 1943
In memory of the crew of Number 11 Squadron Catalina A24 - 50
They gave their lives on 2 September 1943 when their aircraft crashed into mountains 14 miles north-west of Fakfak, Indonesia, while on a 25 hour mission to mone Sorong Harbour.
