This plaque accepted by the Hon. Henry Ninio Lord Mayor of Adelaide was accepted on behalf of the people of South Australia from the Council of United Ex - Service Women (S. A.) Inc.

The monument is a tribute to the women of South Australia who enlisted in the Defence Forces of Australia 1939 - 1945 World War II is here by presented to the people of South Australia in the care of the Adelaide City Council
