The honour roll commemorates those connected with the church who served in World War One.
ANGASTON, August 27.—On Sunday afternoon there was a large gathering at the Congregational Church on the occasion of the unveiling of the church roll of honour. The service, which was impressive, was conducted by the minister (Rev. H. G. Nelson). Prayer was offered by the minister, and the lesson was the 63th Psalm. The choir then led in the singing of "The Recessional." Mr. G. Trescowthick, having rendered a solo, Lieut-Col.S. Price Weir unveiled the roll, and addressed those present.
The honour roll contains 62 names, including those of nurses. Eleven local soldiers have made the supreme sacrifice. Mr. O. Thorn, a church member, carved the board out of Queensland cabinet wood, and did the work skilful and gratuitously. The board was presented to the church by the church members, and represents a value of about £40.
