St James` Anglican Church Memorial WallPrint Page Print this page

The memorial wall commemorates those from the district who died in service or were killed in action during the First and Second World Wars.

The gates at the foot of the church lane and the Memorial Wall plaque at the top were given by Miss Sibella Macarthur Onslow. O.B.E. as a memorial to 'Those who fell in First World War.' The bricks are hand made and came from the old wine cellar at Camden Park.

Funds were received in 2012 for the restoration of the memorial wall.

Miss Macarthur Onslow is having plans prepared for a memorial gate way to be erected at the entrance to St. James' Church of England, in remembrance of those from this neighbourhood who gave their lives in the Great War.
