The War Memorial originally commemorated those who served in Malaya, the Korean War, Borneo and the Vietnam War.

On the 7th May, 2017 an additional plaque was added to commemorate those who enlisted in the South African (Boer) War from the Balaklava District. It also commemoratesd Mr Stephen Ralli of Werocata, who was appointed to select, agist and load horses that were sent to the war.
