The War Memorial commemorates those who served in World War One, World War Two, Korea, Malaya, Borneo and Vietnam.

An Australia Remembers plaque was placed on the memorial in 1995 by the residents of Cardwell Shire to commemorate men and women who have served their country in times of war.
