The Ravenshoe Memorial Bowls Club commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
RAVENSHOE, Feb. 4.-The affiliation of the Ravenshoe Memorial Bowling Club has been approved by the Far Northern District Bowling Association after an inspection of the green by the executive officers of the association in December last. Some rinks were played on for the first time on Foundation Day and J. McAllister, green's director, will have the green ready for all the 52 members to play on by Saturday and Sunday, February 12 and 13. May 2 next has been set down as the tentative date for the official opening of the green, and application has been made to the association for that date. It is hoped that the Atherton Band may be able to visit Ravenshoe for the opening.
