Pialba Memorial CenotaphPrint Page
The Pialba Memorial Cenotaph was erected by the residents of Pialba and District to commemorate those who served in World War One.
It now commemorates those who served in the subsequent conflicts in which Australia has been involved. A large metal world globe was installed on the top of this memorial in 1999, after it was relocated from its original site.
The monument has been placed on the Queensland Heritage Register as a State Heritage Place on 20 May 2016.
The Pialba Memorial Stone was unveiled on the 18th July 1921 by Mr Huxley Taylor who lost two sons in the war.
