Jimboomba District Roll of HonourPrint Page
Jimboomba District Honour Roll is a vertical granite slab memorial, displaying a large bronze Roll of Honour. The Roll and slab are set on a stepped granite base with concreted tops. The Roll of Honour lists 34 individuals from the Jimboomba District who served during World War One and the South African (Boer) War. The memorial was refurbished in 1955.
The original Jimboomba Honour Roll was unveiled in the Jimboomba State School by Mrs Stodart on the 3rd November 1917. The roll at the time contained 24 names of whom three had made the supreme sacrifice. The roll of bronze was set into a marble slab standing on a granite pedestal about 4ft. high. The cost of the roll was about £50.
