The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The hall was officially opened and dedicated by the Premier, Sir Thomas Playford, Saturday, on 11th May, 1957.

Mr. T. Fowler, hon. sec. of the committee, is arranging for a public meeting of Moculta citizens for Friday, April 30, to further discuss the building of a Soldiers' Memorial Hall for the settlement. Moculta had a remarkable war record, but has met with persistent obstacles in its efforts to commemorate its servicepeople. The need of a hall proves more acute each year, but soaring costs have been a serious deterrent of the project.
