The tree commemorates Australian servicemen and women who have served in all wars from 1939 to 1995. The plaque at the base of the tree has the "Australia Remembers" Logo and the RSL Insignia.
"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
