The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. It was originally erected to commemorate those who served in World Wars One and Two.
Additional plaques were added to commemorate other conflicts including a National Service plaque which was unveiled in October 2011.

and the 339 killed in action 1216 wounded in action and the 29 POW

This memorial is dedicated to Australia`s National Servicemen who served in the Navy, Army and Airforce between 1951 - 1972
In particular to the 212 who paid the supreme sacrifice during active service in Borneo and Vietnam.
