The monument consists of three concrete panels and commemorates those from the former City of Waverley and the Shire of Mulgrave who have served in various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The memorial was originally dedicated in memory of the fallen.
The names of the fallen are listed on the memorial. Honour rolls, containing the names of those who enlisted from the Shire of Mulgrave in both World Wars, are located at the base of the memorial on granite plinths.
