Ulmarra Public School Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates former pupils of the school who served in World War One.
Some little time since the parents and friends associated with the Ulmarra Public School subscribed a sum of money for the purpose of securing a lasting monument to the bravery of the boys of that school who had since enlisted and were now serving their country. The purchase of a suitable honor board was entrusted to the headmaster, Mr. E. F. Pfeiffer, who secured what was really a fine board from Sydney, where he also had the names of the soldiers, some 65 in number, neatly inscribed.
The unveiling of the board was made the occasion of an appropriate function at the schoolroom yesterday afternoon. The interior of the building was gaily beflagged. There was a goodly gathering of parents and citizens, together with visitors from Grafton and adjoining districts.
