The Memorial commemorates 288,000 Australians who completed their National Service training between 1951 and 1972.  It honours National Servicemen, Regular, CMF or ARES persons of the armed forces who have paid the supreme sacrifice and who have suffered in the defence of freedom and the pursuit of peace. The memorial was unveiled on 2002 with the memorial walls constructed and dedicated on the 10th February 2008. 

Memorial Characteristics:
The memorial consists of centre marble tablet with plaques with two walls off at an angle. A dedication plaque along with smaller plaques of the deceased ex servicemen with their details inscribed.
