Keysborough College Acacia Campus Remembrance GardenPrint Page Print this page

The garden commemorates the Centenary of Armistice and those who have served in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Funding was received in 2018 through the Armistice Centenary Grants Program for the construction of the garden.

We owe it to them, to remember all those who died in wars, anywhere in the world. It is with pride that I can announce that Keysborough College – Acacia Campus applied for and was given a grant of nearly $20,000 to build a Remembrance Garden to mark the centenary of Armistice Day. It is 100 years since the end of the ‘war to end all wars’, unfortunately and sadly that phrase has proved to be wrong. Our garden will be the focal point for events which remember special occasions and demonstrate our respect for these people and their heroic deeds. I would like to especially thank The Hon. Mark Dreyfus QC MP Federal Member for Isaacs and The Hon. Martin Pakula MP State Member for Keysborough for their support and endorsement of our application.
