The Memorial Gardens commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The garden area features a series of marble plaques dedicated to fallen comrades of World War One, World War Two, conflicts between 1950 and 1972 and post 1972 conflicts and peacekeeping. There is also a marble plaque dedicated to fallen nurses and a plaque for the Australian Light Horse. A plaque unveiled in 2017 also commemorates 100 years of service  by the Maryborough RSL. On the 9th October 2019 a series of murals were unveiled in the garden. The Australian Government’s Armistice Centenary Grants Program contributed $11,170 towards the murals.
