At a public meeting called by the War Memorial Committee, option of that body's ground was made available for a bowling green. Subsequently the Spalding Bowling Club was formed. The officers elected as a Management Committee are as follows: — (E. & O.E.) : — President, Mr. S. Trengove; Vice Presidents, Messrs. Stan Longmire and Rae Neill; Committee, Messrs C. Sando, F. W. Bayfield, Ted Gill, A. J. Cornish. Secretary, Mr. C. A. Martin. Initial subscription has been fixed at £3/3/0. Mr. C. A. Martin is ready for the inundation of subscriptions, which will help in the initial expenses of establishing the Bowling Green. Larger donations will be gratefully accepted from wool and wheat cheque holders.
