The swimming pool commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved. The pool underwent an extensive upgrade in 2017.

A public meeting in Holbrook last Friday night decided to have a swimming pool as the town and district's War Memorial, and formed a committee of seven persons to implement this decision. The committee comprises Cr. I. P. Kane (president), R. A. Roberts (hon. secretary and treasurer). A. Allen, J. R. Beck, C. Craig, Dudley Ross and G. S. Massy-Greene. For the time being the committee decided to concentrate on collections and in the space of a few days approximately £1000 has been subscribed. Donations will be allowable items for income tax purposes, and contributions may be sent to the Shire Office, Holbrook, or handed to any member of the committee. The committee propose to publish a list of donations.
