The War Memorial Cathedral Church of Saint BonifacePrint Page
The church was erected as a war memorial to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in World War One and World War Two.
As it was intended to be a memorial to the war dead of World War One and World War Two, St Boniface Cathedral is commonly referred to as a ‘war memorial cathedral’. Contemporary newspaper reports also referred to it as the 'Church of England War Memorial Cathedral'. However, there is no mention of it being a war memorial in its name or on site.
