The park commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Nearing completion at Geranium is the finest tribute to those who saved our country that this progressive community could wish for. It is in the form of a memorial park at the western end of the township and there many pine trees, originally planted by the District Council of Lameroo, are firmly established.  From the entrance to the park a cement path leads to the shrine, a white marble cross, about six feet high, mounted on a grey marble base. Facing the entrance to the park, the shrine, which forms the centre-piece of another cross, designed in the path, is engraved with the words ‘‘Lest We Forget.” and the names of the heroes of the district are engraved on either side. Nearby is erected a flag pole. Geranium now have their own sub-branch of the RSL, which was formed late last year.
