The church tower and its carillon were erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World Wars One and Two. The tower and carillon were dedicated by Archbishop Halse in October 1956 and the memorial plaque unveiled in 1958.

This tower and carillon were erected in thankful memory of those who fell in war in service of God King and Country

The completion of this tower and carillion marked the culmination of the work in this Parish of Canon A. F. Eva (Chaplain A.I.F. M.I.D. and Rector of St. Paul`s 1921 to 1957)

This plaque was unveiled by him on 16th. Feb. 1958.
