The framed paper honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in the South African (Boer) War, World War One and World War Two.

An honour roll, containing the names of members of the Winkleigh district who served in the Boer War and the First and Second World Wars, was unveiled by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr. Campbell) at a social at Winkleigh on Saturday. The Warden (Mr. H. E. L. Pearn) attended the ceremony. The visitors were welcomed by Cr. G. L. Bird. Mr. D. L. O'Keefe received the honour roll on behalf of returned ex-service men. Items were rendered by Mrs. M. Roberts (Melbourne), an English nurse of the First World War, and Mr. J. Hawkey. Takings amounted to £12. Mr. Ron Adams was secretary, and Mr. D. McKenzie was M.C.
Examiner (Launceston, Tas. ), 23 March 1949.
