The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One, and those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two. The roll was unveiled in 1921 and additional names were added at later dates.

The ceremony of unveiling the Honor Board erected by the people of the district in memory of those who enlisted from the Malcolm - Leonora Road Board District was attended on Monday morning last by a large number of residents. The ceremony was a most impressive one and will be long remembered by those who witnessed it.

The chairman of the Road Board (Mr J. Adam) in his remarks thanked one and all who so liberally subscribed to the fund for erecting same, making special mention of the local Repatriation committee and the collectors. He said it would perpetuate the memory of those who had laid down their lives for the Empire as well as those who had returned. Of the 240 names appearing on the Board he regretted that about 10 per cent had paid the supreme sacrifice. They had died fighting for their country and their names as well as those who had returned would be honored. He then called upon Mr H. Hewitt, who had two sons at the war, one of whom met his death, to unveil the board.

Mr Hewitt in doing so said that the board would always remind him of his two sons, one of whom had given his all. He thanked the people for the splendid recognition paid those who enlisted by the erection of  such a splendid monument in commemoration of those who enlisted. The children of the schools rendered " Australia." and the " Marseillaise," under the baton of Mr S. Evans. The Rev L. A. Marina read an impressive prayer for the fallen. The singing of the National concluded the ceremony. It has been stated that several names of those who enlisted from the district have been inadvertantly left off the honor board, if such is the case if same are handed into the secretary of the local Road Board they will be added to those already appearing.
