Betley District Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden triptych honour roll commemorates those from the District, and ex-students and teachers of the Betley School who served in World War One and World War Two. The roll was originally unveiled in 1919.
On Friday afternoon the Premier (the Hon H.S.W. Lawson) unveiled the honor board erected by residents of Betley and containing names of 35 soldiers from the district. Most of the soldiers were scholars of the School in which the honor board was placed. Special mention was made of the excellent workmanship of the board, the carving and engraving being executed by the Maryborough School of Mines.
