The plaque commemorates the horticultural pioneers of Victoria.

The Victorian Tree Planters Association held a reunion yesterday of the horticultural pioneers of Victoria. After visiting the parks and gardens of the City of Melbourne the pioneers were guests of the association at luncheon in the Fitzroy Gardens kiosk.
