Discovery of GoldPrint Page
A monument commemorates the discovery of gold in Bendigo in 1851.
The monument consists of a woman overlooking a man panning for gold. It was erected with funds raised at a Gold Jubilee Exhibition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of gold in the area.
