A fountain commemorates the opening of the Moruya water supply.

The Department of Public Works was spending £1,000,000 during this financial year on water and sewerage works throughout the State, the Minister for Public Works (Mr. J. B. Renshaw) said at Moruya yesterday. Mr. Renshaw was officially opening the new Moruya Water Supply costing approximately £50,000. Mr. J. G. Beale, M.L.A., for the South Coast, introduced the Minister. The scheme comprises a pumping-station drawing from the Moruya River, about two and a half miles south-west .of Moruya town ship. The water is taken by rising main to ia 150,000 gallon reinforced concrete service reservoir.
