Front Inscription

The signal mast replicates the one used when Port Caroline (on Lacepede Bay) was the shipping centre of the south east.

Presented to the community by the Kingston District Council in recognition of the importance of shipping to the development of Kingston SE and District.

Plaque unveiled by the Chairman, Councillor E. Flint, 7 January 2008.

Constructed & erected through the voluntary efforts of Councillors G. Peters and G. Usher.
