The former St Luke`s Church Hall was dedicated to the Christian saint, Saint Luke.

Saint Luke, also called Saint Luke the Evangelist, in the Christian tradition, was the author of the "Gospel According to Luke" and the "Acts of the Apostles".  He was a companion of Saint Paul the Apostle and the most literary of the New Testament.

Information about his life is very sparse, but references in the Pauline Letters has regarded him as a physician and a Gentile.  He probably accompanied Saint Paul on several missionary journeys.
