The reredos in the church and memorial plaque are in memory of John Charles Parrott Allnut who was the Vicar of Portland from 1869 to 1906, and the Archdeacon of Loddon from 1886 to 1894.
Note: A reredos is an ornamental screen covering the wall at the back of an altar.
