A laurel tree commemorates Lieutenant Henry Francis Grey who was died of illness during World War Two.   The tree was cut down a number of years ago and his since started re-growing.

Henry Francis Grey was born in Canberra on 24 August 1917 and enlisted in Sydney on 26 October 1939. He was a Lieutenant in the 2nd / 3rd Australian Infantry Battalion when he died of illness on 5 December 1940. He is buried in St John`s Churchyard, Canberra.
