The marble plaque commemorates Private Charles Gilbert Russell who was killed in action in France in April 1918 during World War One.
Glen Innes. A tablet has been erected in Holy Trinity Church by the members of the Sunday School in honor of the late Pte. Charles Gilbert Russell, who was killed while on active service. The late Private Russell was originally a scholar and then a teacher in the Sunday school, a member of the choir, and took an active part in all church work.
