Memorial to Austin Plummer

Killed at the Somme World War I  1914 - 1918

This lone Norfolk Island pine stands as a living memory to a brave boy who was killed in action at the age of 16 -

He had received the ominus "White Feather

Two days after he went into battle his young life ended

Planted by his Uncle Victor Plummer about 1920

This area restored and maintained as a community project by the Exeter APEX Club
