The marble plaque commemorates Private Stanley Morrison who was killed in action in France in June 1918 during World War One. It was originally unveiled in the Grattai Church.

On Sunday morning next at Grattai Church Canon Parr will dedicate a memorial tablet, erected by the parishioners of St. George's, Grattai, to the ever glorious memory of Private S. Morrison, killed in France. The service will commence at 11 o'clock, and Grattai residents and returned soldiers are specially asked to attend.
