A plaque commemorates Bernie Lewis’ contribution to business in South Australia.

Bernie Lewis was one of Adelaide’s best known businessmen and long-time supporter of community and charitable organisations. He was killed in a plane crash in New Zealand in 2005. His wife, Christine, also died in the crash.

Bernie and his wife Christine were killed in a plane crash in New Zealand on 2 February 2005.

This plaque was dedicated on 2 February 2007 in recognition of his lifelong contribution to the finance industry and to business in South australia
