The plaque and entrance to Murray Gardens commemorate Oswald Murray's gift to the park of  "The Murray Garden". Oswald Murray died in 1948.

Actual Monument Dedication Date:Sunday 8th March, 1959
Front Inscription

This entrance is dedicated to the memory of Oswald R Murray (Died in 1948) whose munificent gift to the Trustees of the  Park has made it possible to construct the Garden officially named "The Murray Garden" by the Hon. W. M. Gollan M.L.A., 
Minister for Lands on 8th March, 1959.
