The Rose Garden was planted in memory of Des Rudd, a life member of the Harden-Murrumburrah Horticultural Society. 

Des Rudd was instrumental in the design and creation of the gardens in 1965 and contributed greatly through the Horticultural Club to its ongoing maintenance. He was killed in a car accident in 2006.

      HARDEN SHIRE COUNCIL
HAVE MODIFIED AND REMODELLED THE PREVIOUS
         ROSE GARDEN DESIGN,
WHICH WAS THEN REPLANTED IN NOVEMBER, 2009-2010
WITH 78 MULTI-COLOURED NAMED ROSES.
