A marble plaque, erected by the elders of St Andrews, commemorates Thomas Miller who left a bequest for the advancement of the church and Sunday School. 

Thomas Miller was born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland in 1829, the son of Thomas and Gordan Miller.  He arrived in Tasmania in the early 1870s.   He was a strong supporter of St. Andrew's Kirk and attended there for many years. Thomas died on 14th April 1918 at 'Elsie Cottage' in Hope Street, Invermay.
