A plaque commemorates Major-General Sir John Gellibrand, who commanded the 3rd Division in France during World War One. Major Gellibrand was a member of parliament, representing the seat of Denison in the Federal House of Representatives from 1925 to 1928. Sir John Gellibrand was born in Ouse.
