The clock commemorates the pioneer women of Katanning and District.

At a public meeting on Monday it was resolved to launch an appeal to raise funds for the erection of a memorial clock to the memory of the district's pioneer women. The proposed town clock, which will be four-faced and mounted on a 20ft. granite tower is to be unveiled as a part of the Katanning jubilee celebrations.
