Plaque commemorates the site of a pioneer child's grave.
The son of Joseph and Frances Humprey died while traveling and Joseph cut the coffin from the bark of a tree and buried the child, and carved the name on the tree. The original tree was destroyed during land clearing and the Shire of Avoca erected the plaque on another tree approximately 200 metres west.
