Gates erected on the occasion of turning on the town's water supply commemorate Oliver Louis Milling`s services to the town and district. A second plaque was erected to his memory in 1960. Oliver Milling died in 1958 at the age of 81.

The O.L. Milling Memorial Gardens and Playground were rebuilt by the community in 1999 and opened in 2000.
