The Bicentennial gateway commemorates the pioneers and early settlers of the Flinders District who are buried in the Flinders Cemetery. The gates were erected as a bicentenary project in 1988.

Flinders Pioneer Cemetery

This Bicentennial Gateway is dedicated to the pioneers and early settlers of the Flinders District who are buried in the Flinders Cemetery.  The District covered most of the eastern part of the Mornington Peninsula where they farmed the land, fished its waters and served the community a hundred years ago.
