A monument commemorates the lighting of the Bicentennial Beacon in June 1998 as part of the 200 years celebration of the European settlement of Australia.

Monument characteristics :

A moulded poured concrete cairn surmounted by a painted sculptured copper flame. A copper plaque is attached (per favour of Copper Refineries)

This cairn was erected but the Lions Club of Rollingstone to mark the site of the fire built by the Rollingstone community

To commemorate the Australia's birthday beacons ring of fires around Australia on the night of 18th - 19th June 1988.

This fire was scheduled for 4.25 am. 19.6.1988
