Front Inscription

This plaque commemorates the journey of 
        Allan Cunningham
through the Lockyer Valley in 1829.
         Unveiled by 
Cr. Stanley George Ruthenberg
        Chairman, 
Gatton Shire Council
   18th July, 1982.

Cunningham & his party camped on Lockyer 
Creek south of this site on 28th June, 1829. He 
was at this stage returning from his 
exploration of the headwaters of Lockyer Creek.
