Qld Fire & Rescue Service

Every day firefighters place themselves in harms way to protect the communities they serve.  SInce 1877 many Queensland Firefighters have lost their lives in the performance of their duty.

This memorial recognises both the Firefighters who have paid the ultimate price, and their colleagues, those Firefighters who are dedicted to providing fire and rescue services for the urban, rural and remote communities of Far North Queensland.

Memorial Flame Artwork

These Memorial Gardens have been created to acknowledge the valuable contribution made by volunteers, emergency service workers and military service men and women.

The "memorial flame" artwork has been placed in remembrance of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their duties
