King George V Memorial is a concrete obelisk on a two-stepped base which was erected by public subscription to the memory of the late King George V.

The memorial was unveiled by the State Member for Mirani, Mr E.J.Walsh on the 12th May 1937.

George V (3 June 1865 – 20 January 1936) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 through the First World War (1914–18) until his death.
