King Edward VIIPrint Page Print this page

A stained glass window commemorates King Edward VII.

Edward VII (9 November 1841 – 6 May 1910) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India from 22 January 1901 until his death.

Some time ago a subscription list was started, to place in St. John's  Church, Albany, a memorial window to King Edward VII. The scheme met with widespread support, and Archdeacon Louch, the treasurer of the fund, desires to acknowledge the subscriptions at foot. The work has been entrusted to Messrs. Barnett Bros., of Hay street, and is a three-light window, suitable for its position over the altar. The centre light depicts the Crucifixion, and on either side there are the two Marys, the Centurion, and St. John the Evangelist.
